Does anyone have any tips? I want to have properties that are rented out to tenants and such. How much starting capital do you need to start? How do you start with little to no money? Is this a good business to get into?

A little bit of background, I'm a mechanic, I've been "Working for the man" for my entire life and I don't want to do that anymore, I want to be my own boss. Of course everyone has this "I want to be rich" mindset but I just want financial freedom. That leads me to being my own boss, is real estate a good thing to get into? What kind of Success stories are there? What should I look out for?
